Last night during the ReebokReethym Of Light” event, Swizz Beatz premiered the commercial for the new campaign, also he gave us a preview of his new track, “International Party”.

 

 

BEYONCE x “COMPLEX” MAGAZINE [AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2011] ISSUE

Beyonce’s 4 is in stores now, so its only right she spreads her wings on the August/September issue of Complex. This issue doesn’t hit newsstands until August 9th, but below is an excerpt from the cover story speaking on the album.

“Figuring out a way to get R&B back on the radio is challenging,” she explains. “Everything sounds the same on the radio. With 4 I tried to mix R&B from the ’70s and the ’90s with rock ‘n’ roll and a lot of horns to create something new and exciting. I wanted musical changes, bridges, vibrata, live instrumentation, and classic songwriting.”

 

“MADE IN ITALY” x GUCCI [SUMMER 2011]

 

Gucci created a limited edition bag collection for Summer 2011, which will be exclusively sold in the flagship stores in Capri, Cannes, Marbella and Monte Carlo.

A different color for each boutique: sea green for Capri, lavender for Cannes, orange for Marbella and bright red for Monte Carlo.

The collection consists of three elegant proposals: the Tote Bag, a casual-chic shopping bag in caracas raw linen fabric and leather trims; a practical zipped wallet and a beige pashmina shawlwith the color of the boutique where it is sold.

 

KAWS x HENNESSY LIMITED EDITION V.S BOTTLE

Hennessy announced yesterday their exclusive Hennessy V.S bottle collaborative project with world-renowned artist, KAWS, which will hit shelves in September 2011.

Each Kaws Hennessy V.S bottle features signature Kaws artwork and is individually numbered, making this collectors item that much more special

The Hennessy KAWS V.S bottle will be sold in 750ml sizes and will retail for $29.99.

The new bottle design will debut later in July at a private launch event in NYC.

In addition to the limited edition bottle, the duo will create multiple digital shorts, which will be distributed throughout the year.

KANYE WEST CONFIRMS WOMEN’S CLOTHING LINE

Mr.Fashion himself, Kanye West has confirmed that he will be starting a women’s clothing line.  According to Central Saint Martins professor Louis Wilson, Kanye will be collaborating with CSM graduate Louise Goldin (she designed Rihanna’s revealing NYE dress).

 

Wilson had this to say, “I think we can expect a well-considered collection, you wouldn’t expect less from a pair of professionals and I warn against dismissing it in haste. There are those who might assume Louise will be doing all the work and Kanye is just the face, I don’t believe this will be the case—he researches thoroughly and is hands on and committed to his work.”

SANTIGOLD x SPANKROCK x “T” BY ALEXANDER WANG CAMPAIGN

 

 

After DJ Diplo, Alexander Wang hired rappers Santigold and Spankrock to star in his latest campaign clip.

Santigold has been increasingly venturing into the realms of fashion recently, having just designed a collection with urban shoe brand Vans.

As part of an ongoing trend of recording artists premiering their new tracks in advertising, the video is set against an exclusive remix of Santigold’s “Go.”

 

 

BULGARI “RARE” BLUE DIAMOND RING

 

Although, colored diamonds are in vogue these days, a blue diamond is the rarest and most expensive one. One such blue diamond ring is being auctioned at Bonhams. The ring made by Bulgari will be offered at the Fine Jewellery Sale at Bonhams, New Bond Street, London on September 21st.

This amazingly shining ring has never been seen at any auction before and is being sold by a private European collector. Bulgari was a very well-known brand in 1960s and it was then when the collector’s father bespoke the ring from a renowned Italian jewellery house as a gift for his wife.

Bulgari is always known for its simplicity and elegance and this ring is an example of one such piece. The ring has two crossover diamonds in pear shape set diagonally. The white diamond weighs 3.93 carats, D color and is certified as VS2 clarity whereas the blue diamond that has been rated as highest grading for a colored diamond weighs 3.72 and SI2 clarity. The ring is expected to fetch somewhere around $965,000-1,287,000.

As Jean Ghika, Director of Jewellery, states, “Not only is this jewel an exquisite example of Bulgari’s craftsmanship but the fancy vivid blue diamond is an incredibly rare gem in its own right. Bonhams is honoured to have been chosen to handle the sale of this magnificent ring”.

Earlier, Bonhams has set records for selling jewelry at their Fine Jewellery Sales and has sold many intricately-designed pieces of jewelry by Cartier, Tiffany, Van Cleef & Arpels and Andrew Grima.

The new collection’s sunglasses and eyeglasses feature the chain handle of the brand’s iconic handbags woven with a strip of lambskin to form the temples.
