NBA 2K12……THE GREATEST IS BACK!!!
This is the very first screenshot of NBA 2K12 that 2K Sports has sent out and considering the looming lockout, this might be the closest we get to the NBA this season. Looks incredible, doesn’t it? It’s only appropriate that it’s a shot of Dirk going to the rack over LeBron and Bosh.
MORTAL KOMBAT ‘SHADOWS’ (TRAILER)
MK action, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios have recently released a new Mortal Kombat trailer, called “Shadows“. Even though I’m more of a Street Fighter fan myself, the trailer for this looks pretty amazing. However, I’m looking forward to the new Mortal Kombat movie more.
STREET FIGHTER X vs TEKKEN (OFFICIAL VIDEO GAME TRAILER)
It’s a debate that’s raged for the best part of two decades. Street Fighter or Tekken? Now gamers will have the chance to pit Ryu and Chun-Li against Kazuya Mishima and Nina Williams in two Street Fighter vs Tekken games announced at ComicCon over the weekend.
Rival games producers Capcom and Namco have combined their efforts for the first time to bring us Street Fighter X, Tekken which will see characters from both games square off on a 2D plane in the Street Fighter universe.
The game which will be developed by the Street Fighter team at Capcom, and will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3.
PINEL & PINEL x 1980′S ARCADE TRUNK
Luxury cabinet/luggage/bag maker Pinel & Pinel has added an Arcade 80s Trunk on wheels to its collection.
It features a 1080p LCD screen and over 60 classic games including Space Invaders, Pac-Man and 1942.
There are two existing versions of the arcade/jukebox. One is classic and the other is a GT version, but both come with chrome wheels and a sleek look.
This high-end gaming cabinet can be dressed in deluxe materials like leather available in 51 colors, crocodile, and shagreen.
The trunk also has an iPhone/iPod dock so you can listen to your MP3s on the described ‘very high definition sound system’.
There is no information on the pricing yet but given the luxurious trimmings, this arcade cabinet ain’t coming cheap.
NBA 2K11 ‘OFFICIAL’ COVER + SCREEN SHOTS
Kiss the rim? Flying from the free throw line? Hugging the championship trophy?
2K Sports just released the cover image for the NBA 2K11, and I have to say, it exceeds all my expectations.
“Its exciting to see it all come together,” said Jordan via press release. “I am looking forward to seeing the final product, but my kids might have to give me some lessons.”
Now if only the game can live up to the “Greatest of All-Time” quote they have on the box.
DJ HERO 2 (OFFICIAL VIDEO GAME TRAILER)
A year after DJ Hero dropped, the second installment is already on the way. This time around DJ Hero is all about playing with friends. The new DJ Hero 2 bundle comes complete with a microphone, turntable and even a Puma branded bag to carry your turntable in. Not much is revealed about DJ Hero 2 yet, but with Eminem hinting at something going down with Activision Monday (Microsoft’s E3 press conference which Activision will be present), my best bet is he will have something to do with DJ Hero 2 just like he did with the first installment’s Renegade edition.
MORTAL KOMBAT ‘REVEAL’ (OFFICIAL VIDEO GAME TRAILER)
There’s a lot to take note of in the trailer. Most notable is the 2D perspective of the game. For nearly a decade, Midway has been releasing “Mortal Kombat” games set in 3D arenas, but it looks like this new game will be a return to form. The character models and environments are in 3D, but all the gameplay seems limited to side-scrolling style, just like “Street Fighter 4.”
Also, as expected, the violence is back in a big way. Chopping guys in half with giant hat blades?
